İris Şentürker


 
Born in Istanbul, Ýris Þentürker started her piano education at the age of five. Þentürker, who continued his studies at Istanbul University State Conservatory, graduated from Prof. Meral Yapalý's class in 1998 with a degree. In the same year, he won the "Young Musician of the Year" competition organized by "The British Council" and received a full scholarship and received his master's degree from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, completing piano studies with Margaret Fingurhut and chamber music with Yossi Zivoni, Rodney Slatford and Christopter Rowland.
 
The artist also worked with such famous musicians as Leontina Margulis, Irina Zaritskaya, Hüseyin Sermet, Arnaldo Cohen, Sergei Dorensky. In 2000, he continued his studies with the full scholarship of Eczacýbaþý Foundation. In 2001, she gave a concert at Ýþ Sanat Concert Hall as one of the three best artists in the "BBC Soloists Competition" organized by Ýþ Sanat. He gave chamber music concerts and recitals in Istanbul, Ankara, Mersin, Adana, Edirne, Kocaeli, Balýkesir in Turkey and abroad in Hungary, Pakistan, France, England, Germany, Austria, Italy, Syria, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Japan. She gave duo and chamber music concerts with Pelin Halkacý Akýn, Nilay Karaduman, Toros Can, Pierre Amoyal, Miguel da Silva, Andrey Baranov, Muhittin Dürrüoðlu, Hüseyin Sermet, Yovan Markovitch and Andej Bielow. 24th Istanbul International Music Festival, Bosphorus Music Festival, as well as 1st and 2nd Prizes. Cemal Reþit took part in the Youth Festival. He gave solo concerts accompanied by state symphony orchestras and chamber orchestras.
 
ªentürker, who performed the first performance of the works of State Artist Hüseyin Sermet in Turkey together and also performed bilateral concerts with him, also performed at the "Eight Pianists Around Two Pianos" concert at Ýþ Sanat Concert Hall, 33rd and 34th Pianos. She took part in the International Istanbul Music Festival and at the Vilnius International Music Festival in April 2007 with the invitation of the Lithuanian National Philharmonic as a soloist. With a full scholarship from the French Government, he studied piano with Prof. Christian Ivaldi from the Diplôme Superieur d'Execution class at the Alfred Cortot Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris and chamber music with Prof. Chantal De Buchy in the Diplôme Superieur de Musique de Chambre class, graduating with a degree from both departments. He then studied both piano and chamber music in the Diplôme Superieur de Concertiste class, winning unanimously in the chamber music competition 2005 at the Alfred Cortot Concours Diplômes Superieurs de Concertiste in Paris. Ýris Þentürker, who is currently teaching piano and chamber music at MSGSÜ State Conservatory, continues her solo and chamber music studies both at home and abroad.
