Grigor Asmaryan

A native of Yerevan Armenia, Grigor Asmaryan grew up in a family of musicians and started studying piano at the age of four. He commenced his formal studies at the National Conservatory of Music 'Komitas' in
Yerevan, where he received his Diploma in 2000. Thereafter he moved to France continuing his artistic training at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot, graduating in 2003 with the Diplôme
supérieur d'execution.
He was awarded the Grand Prix at the Pierre Lantier International Competition, Paris 1998, a special Prize at the the International competition "Flame" Paris 2006, and was a finalist in the Francis Poulenc
International Competition, Limoges 2002.
Grigor Asmaryan has performed as a soloist and collaborative artist in Armenia, Russia, Lebanon, Finland, Ukraine, Switzerland, Germany and France. He has been a guest artist at the New Interpretation Course at
the European Music Academy Bonn, Germany, Festival Pianos à Enghien, Festival d'Anzy le Duc and Festival de Musique de Pontlevoy, France.
Grigor Asmaryan was further mentored in chamber music in the class of Prof. Tatevik Mokatsian at the Hochschule für Musik Saar in Germany. He has since collaborated with such musicians as David Grimal, Eduard Brunner, Johannes Gmeinder and members of the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern. He is a regular guest at International Week of Chamber Music at Summer Academy in Thuringia and Starnberger Musiktage in Germany as well as Musiktage of Olympiaregion Seefeld, Austria.
